This position is responsible for supporting OPUS IVS production by PCB assembly, rework, and modifications as required. This role will take the direction and work with the Production Team Leader over this group. Responsibilities:Primarily uses surface-mount (SMD) technology to produce electronic circuits in which the components are mounted directly onto the surface of the PCBSResponsible for ensuring workable bond to ensure connectionMust be able to work from schematics/identify electrical symbolsAccountable for precise welds to connect wire to computer chips or other componentsAccountable to using the correct hand tools to make precision repairs or operate and calibrate soldering machineryMay solder broken parts Other duties as assignedRequirements:Skills & Abilities:Strong problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitudeAbility to accept and adapt to change in a positive natureMust be able to sit at a microscope for extended periodsMust be able to work overtime as requiredQualifications:High School Diploma and two (2) years of electronics solderingThru-hole soldering experienceJ-STD-001 assembly standard understandingExperience with safe operation of power hand tools and soldering equipmentPreferred Qualifications:IPC J-STD-001 CertifiedWHAT WE OFFER:Competitive Pay: We know your value and we're not afraid to pay for it.
